About Skip
Ralph (Skip) McBride stands as a trusted advocate at The Lanier Meyer McBride Blair LLP, bringing more than four decades of experience in civil and commercial trial practice in state and federal courts across the United States.
He also serves as Of Counsel at The Lanier Law Firm, and before joining The Lanier Law Firm in 2018, Skip spent over 40 years at Bracewell LLP, where he led the Trial Section and Litigation Group. He has represented banks, energy companies, insurance providers, inventors, investors, and individuals in a wide range of complex disputes — including class actions, product liability, wrongful death, oil and gas litigation, personal injury, construction contracts, securities, trusts and probate, and intellectual property matters.
Skip’s leadership and mentorship helped shape key practice areas, including insurance, contingent fee, and banking litigation.
He and his wife Lucy live in Houston and enjoy time with their two daughters, sons-in-law, and six grandchildren.
