A lawsuit filed on August 18, 2026 in San Bernardino County Superior Court by a client of Lanier Meyer McBride Blair LLP alleges that Real Journey Academies, Inc., the nonprofit operator of Entrepreneur High School, a public charter school in Highland, failed to protect a student from sexual abuse by physical education teacher and coach Anthony Michael Stewart, who is also named as a defendant. According to the filed lawsuit, after a teacher reported concerns about the coach's relationship with the student, the school did not remove him, add supervision, or report to law enforcement, and the abuse continued. The lawsuit further alleges that Stewart was later arrested and, on information and belief, convicted of criminal charges relating to the abuse.
